Shmup Week - Blood Brothers
Blood Brothers

1990 TAD Corporation

Shmup Week - Guwange
Guwange

1999 Cave / Atlus

As you might have guessed, I'm a bit of a shmup junkie.  I've played lots and lots of them in my time, and now I come to review Guwange.

If you're just looking for the bottom line - well, play it.  Now.  Alternatively, hit "Full Review" for a couple of pages of gushing about how this is simply the best game I've reviewed so far.

Shmup Week - Air Duel
Air Duel

1990 Irem

A vertically-scrolling shooter from Irem with a nice bullet-bending touch.  Play as either a helicopter or jet - the helicopter's shots don't seem to be as powerful, but can be fired through about 90 degrees, as opposed to only straight ahead.
