1990 Irem

A vertically-scrolling shooter from Irem with a nice bullet-bending touch.  Play as either a helicopter or jet - the helicopter's shots don't seem to be as powerful, but can be fired through about 90 degrees, as opposed to only straight ahead.

Presentation, as you'd expect from the makers of R-Type, is very good for its time.  Unfortunately, the presence of only a single weapon, no speedups, no missiles and very, very small powerups to your main weapon left me feeling rather underpowered, making this game kinda dull to play.  Like yesterday's review, it's not terrible, just not particularly good.  This game, however, is at least mildly entertaining.  At least until the fourth level, where the difficulty starts getting silly.
